If the player finds an item that's considered "useless" in a check, it's possible to soft-reset the game to go back to the last time the game was saved before getting the item.
Sploosh Kaboom is the community name that was given to the minigame, Sinking Ships. Sphere 0 checks are the checks in the game that the logic considers to need nothing other than the items/songs that are given to the player at the start of the game.
